CELL GROWTH, DIFFERENTIATION AND ACTIVATION (CDAC)
Infectious, inflammatory and immune-mediated diseases area.
Objectives and lines of research
– Involvement of NOTCH4 receptor in differentiation and activation of tumor-associated macrophages.
– Involvement of Notch3 and Notch4 receptors in the alternative activation of macrophages in allergic inflammation.
– Study of NOTCH receptor function in highly aggressive human tumors using gamma-secretase complex (gsis) and alpha-secretase inhibitors adam 10 and adam 17.
– Studies of the sensitivity of meiotic recombination to diet-induced epigenetic changes in sperm that may affect the health of offspring.
