Research support platforms
Objectives and lines of research
– Design of complex heterogeneous (hardware-software) systems. It includes aspects of specification, verification, planning and allocation, HW synthesis, SW code generation, simulation, prototyping,… Special emphasis on design on reconfigurable architectures.
– Advanced communications services. Use of distributed systems and communications infrastructures to offer new services to the user (home automation, mobile services, remote surveillance, etc.). Integration of networks and services, and creation and modelling of telecommunications-based services.
– Intelligent environment monitoring systems, Autonomous monitoring systems. Automatic composition of services. Multi-agent systems: based on BDI (Belief, Desire, and Intentions) technologies. Common sense reasoning systems.
