Objectives and lines of research

– Mental health in childhood and adolescence. We emphasize the investigation of cognitive, emotional and social factors that can contribute to promote health and identity in this vital stage. As well as the prevention of problems typical of adolescence, with special emphasis on eating disorders, body dissatisfaction, cyberbullying, sexual violence, emotional dependence and behavioral addictions.
– Perinatal health. Assessment of psychosocial aspects in the promotion of women’s health, with special emphasis on maternal-filial bonding, breastfeeding, social support and prevention of stress and depression.
– Metaverse, cognition and emotion. Creation of virtual scenarios for emotional management and the practice of socioemotional competencies.
– Psychosocial factors in COVID-19. Assessment of predictive models on which aspects make people more resilient to critical situations.
– Empathy and resilience in health professionals. Aspects to foster the acquisition of socioemotional competencies in the practice of health professionals.
