Area of chronic diseases and cancer

Objectives and lines of research

– Retrospective descriptive study on the determination of DPYD variants and their possible impact on therapeutic management and survival in digestive and head and neck tumors.
– Retrospective descriptive study whose objective is to evaluate the use of mammaprint in our province in the last 10 years. Correlation of clinical, pathological and molecular variables.
– Retrospective descriptive study on the use of immunotherapy in the last 45, 30, 15 and 7 days of life. Evaluation of social and clinical factors and cost-effectiveness analysis at the end of life.
– Retrospective descriptive study of the use of bevacizumab in brain tumors. Survival subanalysis. Subanalysis of the value of PET-choline in this pathology.
– Descriptive multicenter study of population with KRAS G12C mutation in NSCLC identified by NGS.
– Single-center retrospective descriptive study to evaluate toxicity and survival data in elderly patients with metastatic neoplasms of different locations. Value of oncogeriatrics in the current context.
– Prospective descriptive study of the characterization of nutritional deficit in cancer patients with metastatic disease.
– Active study participation and recruiter in the national AGAMENON project on gastroesophageal cancer in its different stages. Current studies in young patients, management during the COVID pandemic, peritoneal carcinomatosis surgery, and the role of immunotherapy.
– Active study participation and recruiter in the National Sarcoma Registry GEIS 78. Substudies in osteosarcoma, retroperitoneal sarcoma, and molecular profiling of GIST.
– Active participation and recruiter in the RETUD registry of digestive tumors of the TTD group. Subanalysis of management and molecular profiling in biliary and pancreatic tumors.
– Active study participation and recruiter in the National Registry of Tumors in the Elderly and the MULTIFRAG project of the GERONCO group (Oncogeriatrics Group of Castilla-La Mancha). Validation of different scales in the management of the elderly patient.
