GENERAL:
– It focuses on identifying new mechanisms of resistance developed by cancer cells to conventional therapies.

SPECIFIC:
– Study of the functions of the BRAF oncogene and the MAPKs cascade in cancer, as well as their therapeutic utility.
– Protein tyrosine phosphatases in cancer.
– Epigenetic proteins as therapeutic targets in the treatment of hormone therapy-resistant prostate tumors.
– Study of the mechanisms of resistance to conventional treatments.
– Role of polymerase theta in prostate cancer and its relevance as a therapeutic target.
