IDISCAM

The Castilla-La Mancha Health Research Institute (IDISCAM) is the result of the agreement established by the Ministry of Health, the Castilla-La Mancha Health Service (SESCAM), the National Paraplegic Hospital Foundation, the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) and the University of Alcalá (UAH), in June 2022.

The fundamental objective is to align the health research efforts being carried out in the community. The dispersion of the region’s population means that healthcare organizations are also dispersed and there is a need for an institute that encompasses all the talent and effort in the field of biomedical research.

The work of the IDISCAM management team is to promote this research talent, favor consolidated research groups, promote young people in their research careers, and make available to the members of the institute all the resources available in the organizations that have signed the agreement that has given rise to IDISCAM.

The core task of IDISCAM is to provide a flexible vehicle for grants to researchers, facilitate the administrative part of these grants, advise studies and clinical trials, promote interprofessional teams among researchers, and generate communities by priority areas.

If we promote RESEARCH we also want to promote the culture of INNOVATION and thus help to improve our research and clinical care. IDISCAM is also committed to raising environmental awareness through information, training and actions.

For all these reasons, it was essential to have a digital network institute for the whole community, in order to be equitable in all the actions that IDISCAM has the firm will to promote. To carry out this task it was essential to equip ourselves with a basic tool such as:

which today we have made available to you.

IDISCAM web is born with the mission to facilitate the interconnection of all IDISCAM members and it will be nourished and enriched with your participation because IDISCAM web belongs to all and for all IDISCAM members.
